Ben Rahal, the Moroccan carpet store located on Rue de Liberté in the heart of Gueliz in Marrakech has for over 60 years been engaged in the purchase and sale of fine and museum quality carpets and other Moroccan textiles to individuals, collectors and museums.
Ben Rahal store has an inventory of thousands of carpets, specializing in tribal and Berber rugs from all regions of Morocco including the High and Middle Atlas.
These rugs are mostly vintage 20th century and older, all handwoven with traditional techniques and include flat-weave kilims and knotted pile examples in vivid patterns as well as more subdued monochromatic tones.
Every rug is handwoven using traditional Amazigh techniques passed down through generations.
Ben Rahal Art was founded over 60 years ago in Marrakech, rooted in a deep respect for traditional Moroccan carpets as cultural treasures.
We built lasting relationships with artisan families and tribal dealers across Morocco, creating a unique collection of handmade Amazigh rugs that reflect the country’s rich weaving heritage.
Each carpet tells a story, with symbols of protection, spirituality, fertility, and nature passed down through generations of Amazigh women.
Located in Gueliz, our gallery is internationally recognized for vintage and antique Moroccan rugs. Today, we continue our commitment to authenticity, ethical sourcing, and preserving Morocco’s weaving traditions.
